• Yokohama Rubber, founded in 1917, launched ADVAN in 1978 as a sports tire brand for passenger cars. The brand has also sponsored numerous racing teams and drivers, and machines with black-based bodies and red stripes and graphics with an "A" motif have dominated the circuits.
