Type R is now synonymous with Honda sports cars. It is also known as the "Red Badge" because the background of the Honda "H" mark emblem is filled in red. The Type R grade name was originally based on the Honda Supercar NSX debuted in 1990, and is given to a high-performance model that is suitable for circuit rides, such as high response engines, lighter weight vehicle body, and enhanced suspension.
